Monica served her community for more than a decade as a speech-language pathologist, working primarily with young children before answering a calling to pursue pediatric medicine. During that time, she earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Communication Disorders. She is now completing medical school and preparing for a career as a pediatrician.
Monica also serves as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, is a member of the Association of Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and is the first author of medical research presented at the Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons Annual Conference.
Her passion for Christian medical missions has taken her to Zimbabwe, Nicaragua, Zambia, and Mexico, where she has served on medical mission teams. She has also trained healthcare teams in the Philippines. As a future pediatrician, Monica is committed to strengthening Christ-centered medical outreach by helping provide compassionate care to underserved communities around the world.
Monica met Luke while serving in their local church, and together they are raising a family centered on faith, service, and stewardship. She always dreamed of owning a coffee business. While Luke was studying Business as Mission during his graduate studies, the two passions came together to form Grace Pressed Coffee—a company dedicated to glorifying God by supporting Christian medical missions through exceptional coffee.
As a Founder of Grace Pressed Coffee, Monica helps shape the company's mission, products, and long-term vision. Her experience in healthcare, military service, medical missions, and leadership ensures that the company's commitment to supporting Christian medical missions remains at the heart of everything it does.
Above all, Monica desires to see GracePressed Coffee encourage Christian medical missionaries and organizations as they faithfully proclaim the Gospel while serving communities around the world.
